Aston Pulse

Overview

Aston Pulse is a property management platform. The work involved shaping the product around the day-to-day reality of landlords and property managers: units and tenants, payment records, communication and reporting that can be trusted at month end.

My Role

Software development and product structure work on the platform.

The Challenge

Property management runs on spreadsheets and messages. Replacing that requires software that is faster than the workaround it removes, for users who are not technical.

Approach

   Modelled the core objects first: properties, units, tenants, payments.

   Designed workflows around recurring monthly tasks rather than feature lists.

3. 03

   Kept reporting simple and legible so numbers can be checked at a glance.

4. 04

   Built for mobile use, since much of the work happens on site.

Outcome

• A working property management platform covering units, tenants and payment records.
